About Me

I'm John. I'm currently a  Year 3 student at Republic Polytechnic, pursuing a Diploma in Sonic Arts.

Music is easily the greatest passion of my life. As long as I can remember, I have strived to improve and authentically express myself through the medium.  My latest venture is a midwest emo project, hewasareadershewasacook, in which I play bass and sing. We play local gigs whenever we get the chance and aim to record our EP soon!  I also play in a grunge/90s alt inspired band, Chainsaw; we hope to debut live soon while we continue to write material.

My love for music has also led me to a passion for audio. Through my time at RP and an internship at The Star Performing Arts Centre, my knowledge continues to grow alongside my desire to help create a perfect concert experience for audiences. As I continue to learn, I aspire to apply myself in the various disciplines of audio engineering; namely studio work and live sound.

In my free time, I enjoy reading and fishing.
